OSP Construction Manager / RUS FTTH

·   In this position I managed an RUS FTTH project in Baggs WY for DTE. The project was a 90 day build with all main line duct and, drops underground. Our crews directional bored, trenched, and plowed all the duct, as well as installed all peds and NIDS. As the CM I was responsible for all day to operations.

OSP Project Manager

·  In this position I was the OSP Project Manager, working on the ZAYO Chicago to Omaha, Long Haul Project. The 193 mile “overbuild” from Des Moines to Davenport IA consisted of adding 219 handholes and a 144ct Fiber to an existing 14 year old system built by 360 Networks on IAISRR ROW. The positions responsibilities included but were not limited to: sub contractor development, production, budget, billing, tracking, personnel, field management, singular customer point of contact, etc.

Inspector Fiber Optic Infrastructure

·   In this position as a compliance inspector for Century Link, I was assigned to monitor the bore and trench crews on a 30 mile build. A portion of the build was for, and terminated inside the FEMA/Homeland Security Installation known as “Mount Weather” in Bluemont/Upperville VA. This was a contract employee position for the duration of the project.

 

BHC Rhodes Civil Engineering / Surveying2011 - 2013

Chief Inspector

·   In this position as the Chief Inspector for BHCR on the Bluebird Networks Grant Project. My duties initially started on Segment 1 and eventually I was given the responsibility of the entire project due to personnel changes. Daily responsibilities are but not limited to: Overseeing a team of inspectors that have ranged from 4 to 15 as the project required, construction/production tracking, billing, right of way acquisition, customer/contractor, and municipality, county, and state liaison. This project completed a “middle mile” ring around the northern half of the state of Missouri for a total of 1100 miles. This was a contract employee position for the duration of the project.

 

 

 

 

Williams Communications Inc.(Independent Contractor)2009 – 2011

Lead Inspector

·   Worked as Lead Inspector for a major Fiber build from Chicago to New Jersey, and was responsible for up to 15 inspectors, documentation, daily reporting, safety of work and completion to specifications. Contractor on this job was Michels. This was a contract employee position for the duration of the project.

 

              Mears Group Inc.    Rosebush, MI.                                                      2008 – 2009

          Field Safety Manager

·   In this position after receiving extensive training, I was given the task of monitoring, educating and auditing Mears crews up and down the eastern sea board. Typical duties in this position were morning safety briefings, equipment checks, auditing of a work site and providing employees with the knowledge necessary to work safe and keep TRIR numbers low.

Operations Manager - Subsidiary of Mears Group, Inc.

·                     Responsible for all aspects of day to day operations including estimating, bid and proposal preparations, billing, crew & job layout, customer contact, purchasing, union liaison and human resources.
